A new azimuthally stable polarimetric method for processing microscopic images of optically anisotropic structures for different biological layers of histological sections has been proposed. A new model that enables to determine phase anisotropy of biological tissues by using superposition of Mueller matrices of linear birefringence and optical activity has been proposed. The matrix element M44 has been chosen as the main information parameter, which value is independent of rotation angle of both sample and probing beam polarization plane.

A new information about optical technique in diagnostics for the endometrium structure has been proposed. The model of Mueller-matrix description of mechanisms responsible for optical anisotropy of these objects (optical activity, birefringence as well as linear and circular dichroism) has been suggested. The ensemble of informationally topical azimuthally stable Mueller-matrix invariants has been determined. Using the statistical analysis of the distribution parameters, the objective criteria for differentiation of endometrium taken from healthy women and patients with endometriosis were determined. From the viewpoint of probative medicine, the operational characteristics (sensitivity, specificity and accuracy) of the information-optical method applied to Mueller-matrix mapping of endometrium histological section have been found and its efficiency in diagnostics of endometriosis and infertility has been demonstrated.

Offered in this paper is the model for Mueller-matrix description mechanisms responsible for optical anisotropy typical for polycrystalline layers of histological sections taken from biological tissues and for fluids - optical activity, birefringence, as well as linear and circular dichroism. Using the statistical analysis distributions quantities of linear and circular birefringence and dichroism, the objective criteria for differentiation of myocardium histological sections (determining the cause of death), films of blood plasma (liver pathology), peritoneal fluid (endometriosis of tissues of women reproductive sphere), urine (kidney disease) have been determined. From the viewpoint of probative medicine, the operational characteristics (sensitivity, specificity and accuracy) inherent to the method of Mueller-matrix reconstruction of optical anisotropy parameters have been found.

The results of optical modeling biological tissues polycrystalline multilayer networks have been presented. Algorithms providing reconstruction of parameter distributions were determined, which enabled to describe linear and circular birefringence in these tissues. To separate manifestations of the respective mechanisms, we propose the method for space-frequency filtering. Criteria for differentiation of benign and malignant tissues of the women reproductive sphere have been found.

The theoretical background of an azimuthally stable method for Jones-matrix mapping histological sections of biopsy taken from myocardium tissue on the basis of spatial frequency selection of mechanisms responsible for linear and circular birefringence is presented. The diagnostic application of a new correlation parameter - complex degree of mutual anisotropy - has been analytically substantiated. The method for measuring coordinate distributions of complex degree of mutual anisotropy with further spatial filtration of their high- and low-frequency components has been developed. The interrelations of these distributions with parameters of linear and circular birefringence in myocardium tissue histological sections have been found. The comparative results of measuring the coordinate distributions inherent to complex degree of mutual anisotropy related with fibrillar networks of myosin fibrils typical for myocardium tissue in different necrotic states, when death is caused by coronary heart disease and acute coronary insufficiency, have been presented. The values and ranges of changes in the statistical (moments of the 1<^>st to 4<^>th order) parameters describing the complex degree of mutual anisotropy coordinate distributions have been studied. The objective criteria for differentiation of causes leading to death have been determined.

The work is aimed at investigation of diagnostic efficiency of a new azimuthally stable Mueller-matrix method for analysis of laser autofluorescence coordinate distributions corresponding to biological tissue histological sections. A new model of generalized optical anisotropy observed in biological tissue protein networks has been proposed to study the processes of laser autofluorescence. The influence of complex mechanisms of both phase anisotropy (linear birefringence and optical activity) and linear (circular) dichroism has been taken into account. The interrelations between the azimuthally stable Mueller-matrix elements characterizing laser autofluorescence and different mechanisms of optical anisotropy have been ascertained. The statistic analysis of coordinate distributions inherent to these Mueller-matrix rotation invariants has been proposed. Thereupon the quantitative criteria (statistic moments of the 1<^>st to 4<^>th orders) of differentiation of histological sections of uterus wall tumor - group 1 (dysplasia) and group 2 (adenocarcinoma) have been found.

A model of generalized optical anisotropy of polycrystalline networks formed by albumin and globulin in human brain liquor has been suggested. The polarization-phase method of spatial and frequency differentiation of linear and circular birefringence coordinate distributions have been analytically substantiated. A set of criteria characterizing the dynamics of changes in polarization-phase images corresponding to necrotic changes in liquor polycrystalline films for determination of death coming prescription has been detected and substantiated.
